What is Art & Soul?
Art & Soul Café & Bar is café, bar, and boutique market in Lincoln, Nebraska, blending food, art, and community. The space features a cozy café serving fresh, seasonal dishes and drinks, a bar offering curated wines and cocktails, and a “mini market” stocked with gourmet goods, local products, and off-sale wine and spirits.
Beyond the café, Art & Soul hosts creative experiences — from cooking and wine classes to private events and art workshops — designed to bring people together around good food and creativity.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, and they make the best gift! Our gift cards can be used towards any service that we offer at our store. Cooking or art classes, boutique shop items, or food and beverage in our cafe/bar.
Can you purchase a gift card on your website?
Not currently, but we are hoping to change that soon! If you would like a gift card mailed - we can definitely do that for a small convenience fee.
Can you use your gift cards towards a class?
Yes. When you're ready to sign up please call the store so we can assist you with your registration over the phone.

What are your café hours?
Breakfast: 9am–11am, Monday–Friday
Brunch: 9am–2pm, Saturday
Lunch & Dinner:
11am–8pm, Monday–Thursday
11am–9pm, Friday & Saturday
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes, and we also serve brunch every Saturday from 9am–2pm.
Do you take reservations?
We do not take reservations at this time.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
While we are not a certified gluten-free kitchen, we do offer a variety of gluten-sensitive options. Please ask your server for more information.
Can I bring in my own dessert?
Outside desserts are not permitted. We offer a wide selection of house-made desserts perfect for any celebration. If you’d like to order a cake for a group dining in, please give our pastry chef at least 48 hours’ or more notice.

We offer hands on, partial hands-on, and demonstration classes.

Hands on classes may be space limited.

Partial “hands-on” & demonstration classes have a maximum participation of 18 individuals.

Youth, ages 8-17 are always welcome to purchase a seat in classes but must attend with a paid accompanying adult.

Expect that you may be working alongside a partner. If you do not attend with a friend, you may be working with someone you hadn't met before the class.

Please wear comfortable, clean clothing and shoes, with the option to roll up your sleeves and tie back your hair.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in and wash your hands, preparing for class to begin on time.

Classes will typically last a maximum of 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

What can I expect at an Art & Soul cooking class?
Our in-store cooking classes take place at select Sur La Table locations. We’ve built kitchens designed specifically to be a learning environment. You’ll have a workstation equipped with the tools and ingredients you’ll need for each recipe, and you’ll taste a generous helping of everything you make. We will also provide you with recipes and "at home" instructions for all the menu items.
Class attendees will work together in groups of up to four at shared workstations. If you attend a class with a guest, you are welcome to share with that person.
Classes are 2½ to 3 hours in length unless otherwise noted.
How do I book a cooking class?
1. Visit our home page, select a location and browse all the classes offered in your region.
2. Click a class to view details, select number of guests and click "Book now".
3. Fill out your contact information and click "Next".
4. Fill out your credit card information and click "Confirm".
5. All set! You should see a confirmation screen and get a confirmation email.
Can you accommodate food allergies?
Dietary restrictions of each class are listed in the class detail page. You can search classes that fulfil a specific type of dietary restriction by clicking on the "refine search" section below the general search bar.
Will I eat the food after cooking?
Yes! That’s the best reward for all your efforts.
Is the class BYOB?
We don't allow outside drinks, but we offer a wide variety of drink options including coffee drinks, soda, cocktails, wine & beer that you are able to purchase.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing casual clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit messy in. We ask that you wear flat comfortable shoes. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals. Please pull long hair back. Unless required by local ordinance, face masks are optional for employees or customers.
Do you tip the instructor?
Tipping is not required for any of our in-store classes, but it is always appreciated if you feel we’ve done a great job!

Do you offer private cooking classes?
Yes, we offer in-store private cooking classes. Visit our private events page for the details and a few sample menus.

What kind of private events do you offer?
We offer cooking, art and wine parties. We also rent out our backroom (which holds up to 12 guests) for private luncheons.
Art & Soul is a marketplace for cooking classes connecting food lovers with local chefs and restaurants or hotels. You can choose from a variety of cuisines and learn to cook with professional chef instructors. After cooking your own dish, you’ll enjoy a shared meal and socialize with your classmates.
